Its a classic from Yves Saint Laurent

"Mondrian" day dress, autumn 1965.
Yves Saint Laurent made the classic 60's dress to an work of art. I cant but help thinking there must have been some Bauhaus inspiration when using the coloured blocks. It looks simple but it is not easy to make this pattern work in a dress. YSL made it work, I also think that Chloé with a similar dress made a classic. I had this dress on the other day in London and I was stopped twice being asked who the dress was by…

New Opera House Oslo

Norway's now largest cultural building. It is something more to be proud over. Many of this buildings around the world often locks out the public, but not this one. This one encourages you to be a part of its design. The buildings roof is to me more like a scarf that goose from head to toe, leading you more or less up from the water and up the top of the building without any trouble. Along the way up you meet families having pic-nic, lover sunbathing, students the mix is as challenging as the building and what a beauty it is!
I would say that Snöhetta has done it again. Snöhetta also did a refreshing and respectful work on the grounds at the Memorial site in New York, National September 11 Memorial and Museum.

DB AutoZug nach München

Taking the car on the train, the new or regenerate way
to travel through Europe. Saving time, saving the environment,
saving the car and get to see some old true German design.
Loved it!

Being asked the question

-The most well designed book you have at home... strange question.
But I had a look around and I really like THE PAUL its a Danish cookbook.
It has inviting pictures of the different dishes combined with daring copy and the chef's own illustrations. He was before Jamie Oliver with the illustrations…FYI

We won the Swedish Design Award 2008

"My" Pop-up book won two design awards

Sony Ericsson had a great night when the Swedish Design Awards 2008 was held at Moderna Museet in Stockholm. The pop-up book, produced by Product Communication of C&D in Lund, won the gold medal in two categories - Information Print and The Jury's Award.

The jury's motivation: Every spread is a world of its own. A surprising mix of nostalgia and futurism. It takes guts by the involved people to pull through an idea like this. We find new surprises every time we open the pop-up book.

The pop-up book was handed out to visitors at the 3GSM World Congress in
February this year. The ambition was to create a book that caught the unique Sony Ericsson user experience in a fun and inspiring way. Four paper engineers from the USA and the Netherlands, with long experiences in creating pop-up books for children, worked together with a small team from Product Communication to come up with exciting solutions for each spread.

Brilliant packaging

Two years ago I was in Rio and found Isabela Capeto's store. Instantly I loved everything about her, colorful and fun. But most of all I love her logo. Now she has made her own perfume; the packaging and the bottle it self is just brilliant. That is using your brand identity to the fullest.
