Floralis Generica

In the United Nations park in Buenos Aires, there's an eye catching sculpture called Floralis Generica, or the Generic Flower in Latin. It was designed by Eduardo Catalano, an Argentinian architect who trained in the US.
The 18 ton sculpture opens up during the day and closes at night. By the way the park is sponsored by Swedish TetraPak

Fiat 500

There is a campaign here in Buenos Aires for my favorite car Fiat 500.
Around the city there are this cute knitted cars...
I will try an take better pictures. This just makes me want the car more.

A girls dream!!

Last time I were in Buenos Aires I heard about this fantastic tango shoe shop, but I did not have time to go. Today I went! It is not easy to find it and it's even harder to leave. To stairs up to heaven....thousand of different shoes. You just sit down in a small beautiful room and they will hand you the shoes. The ask what size you have and a color you like, than it starts. I think I tried forty different shoes and they are all wonderful. It is said that if you don't find the perfect leather bag in Buenos Aires you want find it anywhere, I think that goes for shoes as well. You are not allowed to take pictures inside the shop and they don't have a website.

Its a classic from Yves Saint Laurent

"Mondrian" day dress, autumn 1965.
Yves Saint Laurent made the classic 60's dress to an work of art. I cant but help thinking there must have been some Bauhaus inspiration when using the coloured blocks. It looks simple but it is not easy to make this pattern work in a dress. YSL made it work, I also think that Chloé with a similar dress made a classic. I had this dress on the other day in London and I was stopped twice being asked who the dress was by…

New Opera House Oslo

Norway's now largest cultural building. It is something more to be proud over. Many of this buildings around the world often locks out the public, but not this one. This one encourages you to be a part of its design. The buildings roof is to me more like a scarf that goose from head to toe, leading you more or less up from the water and up the top of the building without any trouble. Along the way up you meet families having pic-nic, lover sunbathing, students the mix is as challenging as the building and what a beauty it is!
I would say that Snöhetta has done it again. Snöhetta also did a refreshing and respectful work on the grounds at the Memorial site in New York, National September 11 Memorial and Museum.

DB AutoZug nach München

Taking the car on the train, the new or regenerate way
to travel through Europe. Saving time, saving the environment,
saving the car and get to see some old true German design.
Loved it!

Being asked the question

-The most well designed book you have at home... strange question.
But I had a look around and I really like THE PAUL its a Danish cookbook.
It has inviting pictures of the different dishes combined with daring copy and the chef's own illustrations. He was before Jamie Oliver with the illustrations…FYI
